SUMMARY:Tower De Force
DESCRIPTION:DATE: Friday 20 April\nTIME: 2.00pm - 5.00pm\nVENUE: Sky Tower and SKYCITY Plaza\n\nThe challenge will commence with a short military ceremony\, the raising of the NZ Flag and a haka. The Royal New Zealand Navy Band will also perform. The mission for each team is to retrieve their team flag from the top of the tower!\n\nStarting with a public display of military skills on the SKYCITY Plaza\, in relay format\, team members will make their way to the top of the SKY Tower mast to retrieve their team flag before abseiling back down to the SKYCITY Plaza!\nThe Tower De Force will have MC Scotty Stevenson interviewing team members before during and after the challenge and interacting with spectators.\nThe Challenge will also end with a short military ceremony at around 5.00pm – the lowering of the NZ Flag as the bugle plays ‘The Last Post’.\n\nA short prize giving for the teams will be held at around 6.00pm in Andy’s Burgers and Bar aka “The Green Zone”.\nThe winning team receives the ‘Tower De Force’ Shield and switches on the ‘Poppy’ that beams onto the SKY Tower until the end of ANZAC Day.\n\nIt will be an exciting not to be missed action packed spectacle!\n\nTeams:\nRoyal New Zealand Navy\nNew Zealand Army\nRoyal New Zealand Air force\nRSA Veterans Team\nSt John’s Paramedics\nSKYCITY Rigging Team\n\nWe hope you will be able to join us on the day to support the teams as you view this unique and extraordinary Sky Tower Challenge.\nYou are welcome to come along at any time during the afternoon.
